Heavy Civil Construction Company Implementing ISO 9001:2015 for Certification

Hello Quality Guru's,

I am in the process of implementing the 9001:2015 standard for a heavy civil construction company (earthwork, roads/bridges, concrete, industrial). I've been at it for a little while now. We have a consultant that is walking us through the standard in preparation of a certification audit. They are very knowledgeable as it pertains to the standard, but not so much when it relates to our type of business. I am reaching out to see if there are any other similar companies in our line of work that has gone, or is going through adoption of 9001:2015. I would like to share ideas, documents, policies and ask questions. I felt this would be a better introduction than just blasting off questions into the unknown.

Hi Joe, and welcome to the forums. :bigwave:

I haven't seen a lot of discussion about implementing a quality management system in the construction industry here, but I know there has been at least some discussion. Feel free to post your questions anyway. There are a lot of things you do as you implement a system that really aren't as industry-specific as you'd think.

Here's one recent thread relevant to the construction industry: Identifying Objectives & Targets for Quality Control I'm sure you can find more if you search. If not, just ask. :agree1:
