Hi, QMS consultant looking for recommendations on ISO 9001:2015 Implementation Packages/Templates. I have a manufacturing/repair depot client starting from scratch. I have used these packages before as a starting point on other implementation projects to save a lot of admin work with good results. The last time I bought any was ~2012 so I was hoping for recommendations. Thanks!!

Sorry, but that should be your skill set to convert the customers’ existing processes into documented procedures, work instructions and forms that meets of ISO 9001:2015 requirements as a QMS Consultant.

There are many templates and forms both here and on the internet, both free and as packages you can purchase. There are none that I can specifically recommend because I haven't used any.

Typically the way I have done projects such as this is to map the client's systems and gone from there assessing what documentation exists, whether they are compliant and meet the requirements of the applicable standard(s) - E.g.: a gap analysis. Without using such an approach I believe "canned" packages can do more harm than good.

You might want to look through Implementing An ISO 9001 Quality Management System - Something I originally wrote back in the 1990's. Things haven't really changed.

I have used one with nice results but for proprietary reason I can't posted here - yes it is free and comprehensive.

once you get it - make appropriate adjustments to meet the standard

So send me a Private message (PM) and I could send you the link and feel free to provide feedback

Of course, but to add maximum value for the client implementation it is best to eliminate as much clerical admin time as possible and spend the time on system development.

Not sure what you are saying but System Development requires a lot of clerical admin time. So how do you want to eliminate clerical work?

I though you were looking for templates that would required minor adjustment to meet the standard and customer requirements.

They usually eliminate about 70 to 80 percent of your clerical time.

I'd be very careful about such things. Someone writing a bunch of documentation for things which a) the ISO 9001 doesn't actually require and (more importantly) b) the organization hasn't understood if they NEED documentation - is, in my 30+ years of implementation - a VERY dangerous thing to do, unless you wish to create a monster and then feed it. Let's not overlook that the TC 176 folks have reduced the requirements for documentation, leaving it to the organization to decide. Also, I've not once seen a package that doesn't need significant rewriting/edits to get the template to a place where it actually reflects what's done. I'd suggest saving your money, do as Marc suggests and search the Cove for things which might work and retain the services of a good consultant to help. "Silver bullets" don't work.
