hi,
our company is iso-9001 certified company and recently we have got ISO-27001 certificate also.
now our company is interested in going for ISO-20000 certification and ISO-31000 (implementation). before certification my boss want me to come up with a framework to integrate both iso-20000 and iso-31000.
can anyone help me in this regard. i am actually looking for..
1) comparison table of iso-91000,iso-20000 and iso-31000 clause wise common document required
2) framework of integrating these three iso requirements.
Quick help is required..
regards

Hi Santosh: Welcome.

I think you're going to find this hasn't been done by anyone here, for a few reasons. Firstly, ISO 31000 is a guide, so you don't get certified to it, it's not a "requirement" handed down to organizations and, as of now, ISO 9001 doesn't make any reference to it. Unlike ISO 9001 and ISO 20000, which have similarities, ISO 31000 is different, because it's a guide full or "shoulds" not "shalls".

That may change in the later part of this year, when ISO 9001:2015 is issued. But don't hold your breath, since guidance isn't often used, in my experience.

You may find someone who has done an side by side analysis of 9K and 20K, but, frankly, the only places they're similar is things like document control, records, audits, etc. So it will be easier for you to buy the standards and go through the requirements to see where integration may be possible. Check the "APMG" website too. http://blog.apmg-international.com/index.php/tag/iso-20000/

Re: integrating ISO-20000 and ISO-31000 with ISO-9001

thanks Andy,
i completely agree with your point. in fact yesterday i was driving same point to my boss. i think he understood a bit but still he want me to draw a comparison chart for iso-9001, iso 20000 and risk management. i have drawn the comparison table for 9001, iso 20000 and iso 27001 but 31000 is little difficult, since its entirely different.
anyway thanks for reply...
