The impact of IoT in ISO documentation

A procedure list the things you need to do sequencially in a routine process to ensure that everything is done and nothing gets neglected or outright forgotten. A work instruction tells you how to do something. However, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has already been applied to highly repeatable tasks where large quantities of observations and decisions can be analyzed for patterns. How far are we from a future (Internet of Things or IoT?) where the only document involved with a firm are quality policy, objectives, and records?

Boboy,

That's the plan!

Your flowcharts of your organization's processes and their interactions are blueprints for your future mission management system.

Go with the flow and continue to anticipate its future as you have done in posing this question.

Update your organization's management system to link to what is done by the computer system, the Internet, the Internet of Things and Artificial Intelligence but keep a readily retrievable archive (and competences) in case of disasters and a loss of power when the batteries run out. :mg:
