Line Balance Simulation when Designing a New Production Line

Hi all,
I'm in the process of design a new line (from assembly and final packaging) to use conveyor and implement one piece flow for the whole process. Is there an available simple software (either Excel based or a specific software) that I can input all of related factors such as cycle time of each operation, takt time and the desired speed of conveyor, operator, etc. and simulate the running status and balance status, then I can show it to my boss and prove the design before spend money to buy conveyor and other stuff.

Have at look at links that open in google for "line balancing software". There are some free downloads which may be handy to you, as well as the similar discussion threads down this page.
