  • Results of internal audits
  • Review of customer feedback and complaints
  • Process data and product performance data
  • Status of corrective and preventive actions
  • Changes that could affect the quality system
  • Follow-up actions from previous management reviews
  • Recommendations for improvement
  • Review of the Quality Policy and Quality Objectives
Inputs to management review should reflect your company and its processes. The above inputs are a good place to start as a minimum. You should choose additional inputs that best fit your company.

Everything Marc listed, plus I have one more on my list (it might not be required but is useful to include):

"Changes that could affect the Quality Management System - Have any company changes occurred since the last Management Review that could have an affect on our QMS? If yes, what were they?"

Hello, gpled....

See Marc's post above. In most ISO standards (if not all) this is a required input to management review.

Brian

Obviously the inputs are a good start point but I would also concentrate on the outputs. I see many good agendas for management review but fewer good outputs i.e. few or no actions assigned to anyone to make improvements as a result of what was discussed. If you are not careful, the management review just becomes somewhere to complain about things not having gone well or for people to quote excuses why things went wrong. On a similar point, don't forget to celebrate your successes.

Those come under "Follow-up actions from previous management reviews". The underlying assumption is that there are such outputs from management review meetings. Exactly what the outputs are tend to be more dependent upon the specific scenarios which come up during the management review meeting(s) - The inputs are relatively standard. For example, an output of few or no actions assigned to anyone to make improvements may be appropriate if none are identified during that meeting.

If management review just becomes a place to complain about things not having gone well or for people to quote excuses why things went wrong, upper management has a deeper problem than management review meetings alone.

Marc mentioned process data and process performance which is great! You can determine if your process is EFFECTIVE with this information and take action if your process is not effective.

One more thing to be considered as input is "Training needs and resource requirements"
