AS9100D Sections related to 1st Piece and In-Process Inspection

I'm in the process of documenting how one of my company's Production Lines performs 1st Piece & In-Process Inspection. Can someone help me identify all of the applicable AS9100D sections related to these processes / activities? Or tell me when in the process they apply...

I believe they are: Sect. 8.5.1.1 - Control of Equipment, Tools, & Software Programs & 8.5.1.3 - Production Process Verification (1st piece), 8.5.1a, b, c, d, l, & m?

Please help.

AS9102 are the actual AS first article forms and they aren't required by AS9100. We have our own First Article and first part procedures and only use the AS9102 when required by customers.

Are you trying to find a good way to do it for your organization or are you trying to fulfill a standard?

Edit: Not sure how I misread your title! I see you're looking for help setting up inspections and such. Sorry I went to FAI .

Gotcha, you're definitely on the right track. And I think if your inspection process is well defined and your job folder is done well then it isn't difficult to get your inspection information where it needs to be.

Oh, and learning their entire system. And re-identifying all of the documents. So, yeah stressed. I figured out on the drive home that I should start by auditing their entire system, then from there, update docs.

Well inspection forms aren't really that big a deal for AS9100. And if you wind up having to use AS9102 FAIs they're forms that are already done. Do you have experience making inspection forms already?

If I understand your original question correctly, have a look at 7.1.5, 8.5.1, and 9.1.1 for starters.
