Is your customer planning to come on-site to review and approve each batch? Or are they looking to approve YOUR METHOD of evaluating the color?
I suspect it is the latter - to evaluate color match, you need a spectrophotometer (measures color values), as well as a properly illuminated inspection table (visual inspection/evaluation is always critical).

I would strongly recommend that you also evaluate your inspectors for color vision - there is a test kit available (a Munsell kit) that can show your inspectors ability to visually discriminate between shades of color, etc.
YOu will also want to do a GR&R on your spectrophotomoter, to ensure that your inspectors/operators are using it correctly.
