Hi Ajit, I am not sure if you are asking for suggestions and input concerning GHG training. But if you are, see attached.

Sorry for not clarifying earlier. I was basically looking for some general info in starting the GHG program in our organization with regards to procedures, measurement data and any heads-up before I actually go into it.

Hi

WRI has done quite a lot of work on this subject coming out with a GHG Protocol. We did collaborate with them in the testing of their tools in China and India. See if the information given in http://www.ghgprotocol.org/ is useful to you.

Best wishes to you on your programme.

With best regards,

What I understand from it is that you are going to monitor and measure your carbon footprint (from all scopes), then you would compare it with some benchmark and finally set targets for carbon emission reduction. Is it like that or something different?

Ajit - Did you finish the project? How did it end up?

Yes Marc, my Organization started it and is similar to what samsung mentioned in his post. Our Consultant has given an Excel spreadsheet where we measure how much are we contributing towards the carbon foot print. This is recorded as a KPI along with other indices like reduction in Electricity and Water usage. The ongoing monitoring has started for the second year now and the enthusiasm has increased :)

You are right. Since in our industry, we do not have benchmarks, we did a baseline for 2008 - 2009 and from 2010 onwards, we are targeting 5 % reduction each year.
