Using Regrind - Anyone ever used a deduster to improve quality of material?

We grind our runners (injection molding facility) and use them for regrind. We have always had inconsistency issues using regrind, and so I started investigating our ground material. After being ground, our pellet sizes are varied between dust to 8mm.

Does anyone have any experience using a deduster to eliminate the dust from your material? Did it help?

We have found it better to keep our granulator blades on a regular PM schedule for sharpening to reduce dust and maintain regrind consistancy.

We have used a Deduster to remove fines in the regrind. This is especially important if you are conveying regrind any distance, as we are. Works fairly well on most of the most plastics. That along with a "metal out" greatly improved our regrind purity.

Does require some to work to clean it our during change overs.
