Should HR Job Titles match Procedure Responsible names?

Hi everyone


I have a question regarding names in ISO system

The job description names (under HR responsibility) should be the same as those mentioned in the procedures in the responsibility section?

Is it really important?

I'm not sure whether you're referring to the names of people (John Smith) or job titles (manufacturing engineer, e.g.). Can you clarify?

I mean for example:

In a procedure , I assign a responsibility to a Logistic Coordinator
or to the Manufacturer Coordinator

Do these names should be exactly the same in the Job descriptions titles?

I think it would be a good idea to stay consistent with job titles. If you say in your documentation that a Logistic Coordinator has responsibility and authority for specific QMS functions or processes, and the person actually doing that work has some other title, it could lead to audit trouble. The argument may be made that "Logistic Coordinator" is defined by the work being done and not the title of the person doing it, but it will be easier in the long run if things match up.

I think it would be a good idea to stay consistent with job titles..... it will be easier in the long run if things match up.
