Hi All,

What does it mean by food defence, biovigilance and bioterrorism in ISO 22002-1 (PRPs for Food Manufacturing)? Is it necessary to install video recording cameras in High Risk areas for monitoring?

Regards,

Ghulam Mustafa

1. It is now Sunday evening over here and early Sunday morning in the US. Sundays are rest days and so there is only a trickle of visitors.

2. The Food Safety Forum here is pretty small and there are not many participants. Therefore you have to be patient.

3. Attaching copyright documents are a big No-No here. Please refrain from doing so. If you need to, copying a paragraph or a few sentences should be acceptable under fair use.

4. If I am not mistaken, the section on food defense, bio-vigilance and bio-terrorism are items you need to consider and assess in your procedure on Emergency preparedness and response. If your assessment indicate that you need video cameras, you need to. There are no hard and fast rules. It depends on what you manufacture, the market demands, etc. At the end of the day it is part of overall risk management.
