Artificial hand (IEC 60601-1-2)

IEC 60601-1-2 mentions "artificial hand" in several places. Sometimes it looks like the AH is only the RC network that connects some part of the EUT to the earth reference whereas in other places it looks like it is some hand like device plus the RC network.

Could someone clarify this?

Thank you in advance.

The artificial hand is defined in CISPR 16-1-2. There is a series RC network of 220 pF and 510 ohms, connected to the reference ground plane. For patient coupling points with a conductive connection, a 1 m lead from the RC network is connected directly to the patient coupling point. If there is no conductive connection to patient or for hand held parts, the RC network is connected by a 1 m lead to piece of metal foil, typically about 60 mm wide. The metal foil is wrapped around the part.
