New TS Manual Release - Train our people with the errata or the complete new document

Do I have to replace our copies of the TS manual with the version just released or can I simply train our people with the errata that is available for free and continue to use the current manual?

Thanks!

The current version is acceptable as long as it is accompanied by the errata sheet. The new version is now out with the corrections but the AIAG has just sent an email saying either is OK.

Hello:

I am confused on this thread. The errata sheet is dated 12/15/2003. My understanding of the errata sheet is that is simply cleans up some mistakes.

Also, how do I get e mails from the AIAG? Do I have to become a member? I want to be able to learn what you are learning.

Thank you, Dirk

I heard that ISO/TS 16949 is not an official standard because it is labeled "TS". Is this true?
My TS edition on the face of the standard states:
Second edition
2002-03-01
There isn't any other indication of a revision anywhere on this document.
Is that the revision??? Is this current??

ISO/TS 16949 is a technical specification not an international standard. Look at the foreword for a complete explanation. It means that it got between 67% and 75% approval by the voting members. Over 75% would make it an international standard. 50% to 67% would make it a "publicly available specification" (ISO/PAS).

The verision of the document is 2002. The revision date is 2002-03-01. What you have is the latest version, as long as you have the errata included.
