Effect of ISO9001 2015 transition on ISO IEC 80079-34

ISO/IEC 80079-34:2011 references ISO9001:2008.

For ISO9001:2015 certain requirements e.g. to have a quality manual, management representative get dropped.

How are people dealing with the fact that 'obsolete' items from 9001:2008 remain a requirement for 80079-34:2011?

I guess I now need a document like "Ex Product Quality Assurance Programme" that defines all these things e.g. who my management representative is...

...because I just zapped that particular detail out of my quality manual!! :bonk:

.

I created a EX Quality Program document for just the differences.

ISO 9001:2015 does not require that you remove items from the QM if you need them. You can explain the use of QMR in the QM by referring it to the ISO IEC 80079-34:2011 or 2017 standard.

I would also put a table at the end of my QM listing the standards by clause and the related sections of the QM. A reference guide for the auditors so they understand how to use the QM.

I hate to throw the baby out with the bath-water. I also do not like creating multiple systems or documents that overlap. :)
