English or German language of QS9000 books?

Hi all
Just a simple questions. As you probably know the document system should include the QS9000 books (PPAP,MSA,SPC,FMEA etc.) but which one the English or the German version?
Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Cheers

Well, technically English is the official language of QS-9000 (I think the QS-9000 manual states such). I suppose that makes the Germany copy a reference document.

Do you need the German version of the QS books? If so, call Carwin Continuous 44-1708- 861333. If your question is, "Which is the "official" version?", I would think (hope) it would be the one in the language of the country where it is being applied! I don't think they have a Hungarian version of the QS manuals, but you should be able to choose which language comes the closest to the one you want to use. Regardless of the language, the requirements should read the same way.

English is the only official copy. The other languages are reference copies. Surprised that so many people inhere are still interested in QS9000 as it is a has-been standard. Ok still valid until december 2006 but still...

It would be more correct to refer to them as the "AIAG Reference Books," as QS-9000 is now obsolete, but the reference books with the blue covers are still active. I would suggest that you should use them in whatever language you are best able to read and understand. But, they only apply to those customer who specify them. They do not apply to all customers.

They can be used as internal standards exclusive of customer requirements, so long as they don't contradict customer requirements.

Yes, I should have stated, they CAN be used whenever you find benefit. However, they are not REQUIRED by all customers. They are actually very worthwhile books, and worth reading.
