Distribution Centers - NSF Audit

K

kmyers

I have recently taken a position with a very large dietary supplement company. Corporate and manufacturing are in California. My facility is strictly a distribution center for the east coast, located in Virginia.

My question is that my predecessor along with the Operations Manager struggled with the NSF audit in regard to being held to the same level as a mfg facility. Things are not in jeopardy of becoming compromised as they would in a mfg facility. There are no raw ingredients. Everything is packaged up and boxed for resale, nothing is exposed to the elements.

Any help is appreciated

Was it documented as a NC? If it was, was any challenge to the finding discussed during either the daily wrap meetings or in the closing meeting or in the appeal process?

What requirement did the Auditor define as the failure?

What does the Organization's Scope state?

See if any of these question will help.
