OK I need to create an MDS made up of a published material from our supplier and an internally produced part made out of the same material. What's the best way of doing it?
Put simply the part consists of a certain weight of raw material contained in a kind of manufactured container that consists only of the same material.
Part of me just wants to keep it simple by listing the total weight of the part as containing just the raw, supplied material.
The customer will only be interested in the infill, raw material so I reckon will reject it if I just put total weight in without splitting it into infill and container.
So do I create a component made out of the raw material then put it into the part and then add the infill material? I don't think this will work because you can't have component and material on The same level.
Any suggestions? I'm under pressure to submit a PPAP and this is the last part needed.
