Test Certificate Validation

Hello All,

I have recently started working for a company that produces metal forgings for the Gas and Oil industry.

As with any company involved in gas and oil, tractability and validation of testing certification is paramount.

Currently, any test certificate has to be printed, hard stamped ("verified copy"), signed, re scanned, and emailed.

This is a real pain with regards to time, legibility of certificates etc.

I have worked within companies before that produce similar document packs, but have never had to follow this procedure.

I know I can go down the root of e signed PDFs, but I was wondering if anyone had any other ideas?

My current thoughts are perhaps front page to the document pack which states something like "All documents included are verified copies...", or even watermarking each certificate.

If it helps, all certificates are sent as one "document pack" pdf.

Any thoughts?

In your current system, is there such a thing as an "unverified copy"?

If not, just put "Verified Copy" right on the form.

If so, why? And how can you prevent or suppress anything not verified?

There are several applications that "sign and seal" PDF files in order to maintain the integrity of the data. Some organizations are already using blockchain technology to avoid data tampering with test certificates and other sensitive documents.
