PMA (Parts Manufacturer Approvals) parts in Europe

Hi all, I'm new to aviation regulations and I'm struggling with a potential problem just thrown at me.

My company currently is in the UK with a sister company in the USA. The USA company has PMA based on identicality, buys in parts, inspects(by their DMIR), and subsequently sends them to us in the UK with a form 8130-3. We then split the consignment for our aviation customers with a copy of the 8130-3 for each. This has apparently been operating succesfully for many years. However, the USA company may be sold in the near future which could make life difficult. The UK plant has no POA of it's own. To keep the business, what are our options? Do we have to apply to the CAA(UK) for POA and have staff certified to issue EASA form 1 if we source the parts ourselves from the existing manufacturer? Any suggestions?

Re: PMA parts in Europe

If you are in a business of parts re-distribution or stockist, I think you just need to ensure that you ship a part to a customer with a OEM/Manufacturer 8130/COC of a part.
