Question Is EN 55011:2009+A1:2010 is expiring in early 2019?

Hi,

I was in a meeting and was informed EN 55011:2009+A1:2010 is expiring in early 2019. I checked the EMC Official Journal of the European Union and there is no date under “Date of cessation of presumption of conformity of superseded standard.”

Would anyone have and information regarding expiring EN 55011:2009+A1:2010, is this expiring and where is this referenced? The person in the meeting did not know.

Quinn

Re: Is EN 55011:2009+A1:2010 is expiring in early 2019?

Hi Quinn,

the situation is confusing. As I understand it:
There is a newer version of the standard EN 55011:2016 which is valid fom 2019-02-15 on as stated on the website of CENELEC

But the new version is not yet harmonized in the EU and therefore cannot be used to declare conformity to CE. As long as the new version is not harmonized the old version has to be used for CE marking.

Best regards,
Martin
