Please Help! Hospital Operating Room Regulations - Separate Entrances for Clean and Dirty Supplies

I work for a medical device manufacturer in NY. NY state law says the hospitals must have a separate entrance for clean supplies entering the OR and a separate exit for the dirty supplies leaving the OR. I was asked to find out the regulation for NJ hospitals. Does anyone know or can you tell me where to look. I do not work in the clinical field and do not know where to go.
Thank you

Architectural firms specializing in hospitals would know. Is there an online forum for technical architectural discussions?

Re: Hospital Operating Room Regulations - Separate Entrances for Clean and Dirty Supp

One of my community service organization runs a dialysis center who had to carry out some modifications after a recent audit by the authorities due to the same requirement. As I explained to the people in charge, this is to meet basic 'gmp' requirements on the need to prevent or minimize cross contamination.

I Say... Re: Hospital Operating Room Regulations - Separate Entrances for Clean and Dirty Supp

Hi,
As much as possible, a separate entrance for Clean and Dirty Supplies. But if there's no way to re-design the entrance. Treat the dirty supplies as infectitious especially those came from Operating Room. There could be a problem on health safety issue not only the patients but also the one handling the dirty supplies.
Hope this helps.
Best regards,
Raffy
