Re: New PSW (Part Submission Warrant) - 4th Edition PPAP manual

Thanks Jim. I am far past that point as I already developed my own PPAP checklist with similar requirements. The supplier just contacted me back and said their customers complete most of the PSW for them. To me that's placing the cart before the horse. However we do need to give them sufficient information to fully complete the PSW, so far we have not.

You are the customer what you want is what you should get.
Please remember that you have a requirement to develop the supplier

Quote:
7.4.1.2 Supplier quality management system development
The organization shall perform supplier quality management system development with the goal of supplier conformity with this Technical Specification.
This is exactly what you need to do in regards to PPAP

As a supplier, I have always wanted to fill out as many of the fields manually, as humanly possible. Seem odd? Not really, as this is the very best way to confirm that all the data in the form is actually CORRECT. When customers fill out forms they sometimes get into the habit of cut and paste. This leads to many errors.

Just my 2 cents worth. Oh and my first post to this forum, by the way. Thanks so much for a great resource!!
