Please Help! Re: Product Safety Officer - How to keep VW Happy

Hello everybody,
a) VW Academy states that training is in German language only and they share training materials only with course participants;
b) VW auditor told that there is no other known organisation that provides this training.

So there are two alternatives:
1. send a german speaking individual to VW Academy (if you have one);
2. convince an actual participant to share the training materials.

Re: Product Safety Officer - How to keep VW Happy

Dear all ,
just short summary :
PSB-usually QM or customer representative .
Doesnt need to be trained by VW directly. PSB must be trained according to local laws about product/service liability :EU 85/374/EHS (PLD) General product safety 2001/95/ES (GPS)

German Product Safety Act and the German Product Liability Act etc.
Training must be done by acredited lawyer -law bodies.
There are companies as : DNV(DET NORSKE VERITAS) that are fully approved to perform this kind of trainings.

All duties of PSB are prescribed in VW suppliers portal .

PSB without certification and appointment letter are not accepted by VW group.
I hope this will be helpful for some of you .
Michael.

Industry Forum, the training organisation of the SMMT (UK's Society of Motor Manufacturers & Traders), are the qualified providers of English training on VDA standards and PSB requirements.
