How does an organization document the quality policy to demonstrate that "quality policy is appropriate to the purpose and context of the organization and supports its strategic direction" (5.2.1a)?
What's the context of your organization? That will help you to decide what your policy is. If you understand your interested parties needs and expectations, that flows through the context to help formulate your policy.
Ultimately, in the end, what are you trying to do as an organization? Sometimes it's to keep auditors happy, sometimes it's to build customer confidence, usually it's to keep customers happy by going above and beyond.
Then just simply state how you want to do it. Maybe by working as a team, aiming for good pricing and delivery, whatever. Keep it simple though, I wouldn't overthink it.
Certification body auditor requested us to mention "interested parties" in our quality policy. Is there a need to do so? We've already mentioned "meeting all applicable local and international requirements"
