Hi all,

I am a production people. Today my boss asked me to have a self assessment on the operational side. My understanding is this assessment may cover the improvements in the following areas:

  1. Training programm
  2. Infrastrure
  3. Safety activity
  4. Infomation flow

Any inputs from your professionals? Also if you can provide a professional form on the department self assessment will be most appreciated. :applause:

Kind regards,

Two years ago, we did a gap assessment relative to the Quality System. The purpose was to determine where we should focus our continual improvement efforts. I will attach the results to give you an idea of what we assessed.

The process was:
  1. Determine the areas to assess
  2. Identify the judgement criteria (levels)
  3. Self assessment by organization representative and site lead auditor
  4. Developed a survey to be completed by top management

The assessment was subjective but accurately reflected the status of the system. The results were summarized and presented to top management and communicated to all associates. Based on these assessments, we identified the following areas to focus on; corrective / preventive action and training.

Fortunately, I can report that we have made improvements after identifying where we should focus.

Hope this helps.
