Conflict Minerals reporting template for PPAP approval

A customer has requested a conflict minerals reporting template for PPAP approval. I have no idea how to handle this. Any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated.

We are getting the same requests. However, the raw stock vendors are working on this as well so we will not be able to get anything to our customers until the raw stock vendors get their conflict material qualified.

You are going to have to go to your raw stock vendors and request a 'conflict material' form. This requirement came from the Dodd-Frank bank reform bill (I think that is the name of the bill).

Yes, it is part of the Dodd Frank Wall Street Reform act, section 1510.

Every customer will ask for this in the future. Since this is a law, meaning more than a customer requirement, please do your due diligence.

take out the bill of materials. add a column. you need to put supplier name against each part. you need to get this form filled from your suppliers. review the reports from your suppliers. finally, you fill this form for your customer.
