Tool for Measuring - Do I have to do more than one Gage R&R for the PPAP?

I'm new to PPAPing. If I intend on using more then one tool for measuring, would I have to do more than one R&R for the PPAP?

If there are significant differences between the types of measuring tools, then probably yes.

In short, you should perform an MSA on each unique gage on your control plan. An individual gage may also require additional MSAs if it is used for different types of features (e.g., distance between two planes, diameter, distance between two holes).

However, you may potentially group similar gages into families. See my blog post on this topic.
