Simple Example for PFMEA / Control Plan Training

I am working on putting training materials together for a public training course that will include Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEAs, and Control Plans. Since this is a public training course, I can't use a specific product/process as an example since not everyone in the course will be familiar with it.

I'd like to come up with a simple process (such as baking a cake) that I can use as an example in my presentation materials. I'm looking for something general enough that most people will have some experience with it. For the hands on exercises, I am planning on having each team follow a recipe or other process description and step through the process.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
