Where do you buy your ISO and other various standards?

Standards are expensive, however many times a standard can be purchased cheaper in certain countries.

What standards have you purchased, and did you explore to get the best price?

For example, ISO wants CHF138 which is US$147 for ISO 9001:2015 - Where can it be bought cheaper?

How about IATF 16949 - Where is the cheapest place to buy it? (this one may be too specific for a cheap source)

I purchase all my Standards from ISO directly.
I receive a PDF format which I can save and print if needed.

IATF 16949:2016 can be purchased from AIAG for $30 IF the organization is an AIAG Member. No discounts for ISO 9001:2015 because IATF doesn’t own the copyrights.

My company is a Member of AIAG, so we purchase all documents at a significantly reduced cost.

I found that ISO had some of the best deals out there, especially if the exchange rate is in your favour.

The other way depends on membership - we have BSI membership so many of the standards are about half what you would expect to pay elsewhere and comes with other benefits, like their tracking service that updates when there has been a change to any of the standards that you use.

The downside is that unless you have a business case for membership the cost of membership can blow any savings for standards out of the water (we have a contractual obligation to be members to support one of business functions).

Hope this helps.

If I remember correctly (it has been awhile!) we bought our copy of the ISO 9001:2015 standard from the ANSI website. You can receive a discount on the standard from them if you are an ANSI member.
