ABOUT THE ELSMAR COVE

Welcome to the Elsmar Cove community.

This site was originally launched as QS9000.com by Marc Smith in January 1996 as a free resource in all things related to quality assurance and standards compliance for industry professionals. Called the Cayman Cove, its tagline was "Shelter from the Storm," with a lighthouse as its symbol. It was a place to share resources and discuss quality tools and topics such as process capability and histograms, Deming philosophy, APQP, and ISO 9000 audits.

As the breadth of the topics expanded, the site was renamed Elsmar.com in 2002. The discussion forum grew rapidly, and the focus evolved into people helping people. The legacy resource pages and discussion threads still remain, and provide a historical view of the changes to the quality profession and quality standards over the years.

In December 2022, Advantive acquired PQ Systems, the owner operator of The Elsmar Cove. Advantive committed to keep this community of people helping people thriving and growing. Having launched our own Quality Advisor resource site and discussion forum a couple decades ago, we understand the Elsmar mission. Our aim is that by blending Quality Advisor and Elsmar, we can provide one central resource to help industry professionals succeed in improving quality and exceeding standards.
