Magic with Microsoft (things that could not be explained)

I got an interesting email and would like to share with you all

Things that

Could not Explain!

TRY this....

MAGIC #1

Found that nobody can create a FOLDER anywhere on the Computer which can be named as "CON". This is something funny and inexplicable? At Microsoft the whole Team, couldn't answer why this happened!

TRY IT NOW, IT WILL NOT CREATE A "CON" FOLDER

MAGIC #2

For those of you using Windows, do the following:

1.) Open an empty notepad file

2.) Type "Bush hid the facts" (without the quotes)

3.) Save it as whatever you want.

4.) Close it, and re-open it.

Noticed the weird bug? No one can explain!

MAGIC #3

Again this is something funny and can't be explained?

At Microsoft the whole Team, including Bill Gates, couldn't answer why this happened!

It was discovered by a Brazilian. Try it out yourself?

Open Microsoft Word and type

=rand (200, 99)

And then press ENTER

And see the magic?..!

Magic #4

Did you know that a flight number from one of the planes that hit one of the two WTC towers on 9/11 was Q33N. In Notepad / WordPad or MS Word, type that flight number i.e Q33N. Increase the font size to 72. Change the font to Wingdings. ..... u will be amazed by the findings!!!......................

Re: Magic with microsoft(things that could not be explained)

Open Microsoft Word and type
=rand (200, 99)
And then press ENTER
And see the magic?..!

In case you write =rand(1,1) & hit 'Enter', you will get one sentence once and if you make any of the digits 'zero', you have a blank page.

#4 is just wrong. There was no flight with that number. It would not even make sense for a tail number. Snopes debunks several windings myths: http://www.snopes.com/rumors/wingdings.asp

#3 gives me a very long document that looks like text dumped from a help file. (Word 2010 beta). My guess is it is some sort of debug code. I highly doubt Bill Gates himself had anything to do with setting that up in Word.

#1 is a holdover from DOS. http://www.theinquirer.net/inquirer/news/1023739/windows

yep. almost always, these so-called "new discoveries" are old hat and well-documented on one of the myth debunking sites like scopes.

I recall 40 years ago, when I got my first hand calculator (about the size and weight of a house brick), we used to get simple pleasure out of giving someone a complex calculation to solve and when the calculator was turned upside down the numbers in the answer would appear to spell out a word or phrase. A simple pleasure for simple minds in much simpler times!
