We have a quality management system in place but by look of things we are only concerned about regulatory and statutory requirements how do we make sure that the qms we have in place help us to deliver good quality service becuase you will remember that one req of qms is customer focuse, dont you thing is time that we shift from element base system to process base that help us to deliver the way our customer want(qms conversion)

I did not undestand the question.
Pls be clearer about the request.
In any case, ISO 9001 is still pursuing process approach auditing. I would guess that you are not satisfied of your QMS auditing...:bigwave:

Welcome to the Cove! :bigwave:

I am an absolute supporter of process audits. To get the customer viewpoint, I look at inputs, outputs and support structure. These are all internal customer considerations that I have found many opportunities to improve.

We have quite a lot of material about process audits here. I did a search in the Post Attachments List - see the green button in the header - and I came up with this list.

The list is long. To help make sense of it, you might want to review some of the related threads linked at the bottom of this page.

In general I think the process audit is helped by using, or making flow chart(s) that show inputs, outputs and what is contributed by which support department. That and the turtle diagram have been most helpful for me.

Understood.
Success to have a well defined and working QMS in place could be measured by the increasing of the Customer satisfaction ( with respect to the past year), increasing of percentage of reference market share and so on.

Internally you can have measurement and KPI for the reduction of cost, reduction of scap material and rework, improvement in cycle time, increasing of motivation of the employee and so on.
Hope this helps:bigwave:
