On the other side ... how much of this inspection you desire your EMS supplier does before sending the populated boards to you. Since you mention your products as medical equipment, what are the controls that you have planned such that the purchased populated board meets your assembly quality requirements and are also delivered tested. Does your supplier give out a set of documents for each batch that confirms meeting to your requirements.
