3. Fit a straight line to the following data :

S.No.

Re: Help needed with statistics questions

What does MSA mean? Measurement and Statistical Analysis?

I am assuming the items (quantity) were meant to be in the column-table? Can you fix it?

Re: Help needed with statistics questions

I assume these are from statistics course you are taking? Happy to provide some help - but we really shouldn't be doing homework for you if this is the case.

For question 2, you need to shift the data to a standard normal (mean 0 and standard deviation 1) and look that up on a standard normal table. You would be using the Cumulative Probability Function, subtracting the area to the left of the curve defined by the second criteria from the first criteria, assuming the table accumulates from the left. I have found with these problems it is best to draw a bell shaped curve, and color in the areas from the table.

If your instructor allows it, both question 2 and 3 can be solved pretty directly using Excel spreadsheet.

Hi Rose Tucker,

One of your questions has already been answered by Steve Prevette.
Would you like to put them in Excel spreadsheet and attached the file in your post so we could answer the remaining questions?

Ask help from Marc or any of the moderators. But like what Steve Prevette said we will not do your work for you. We wil just point you in the right direction.
