if i am not remember wrong, want to get these magazine or relevant cert neet to pay a lot of money
As ssz102 indicates, there is a financial advantage to membership in ASQ for individuals who need or want one or more
ASQ certifications in that courses and materials as well as fees for sitting the exams are discounted for ASQ members. It is also much easier to obtain "recertification credits" for such certifications due to the opportunities presented through local ASQ Sections. Getting recertification credits means eliminating the need to retake the certification test (and paying its fee) periodically. Whether the fees are a "lot of money" is a relative opinion. I imagine wage rates in some jurisdictions are so low that the ASQ fees seem exorbitant and outrageous, but that in others, the wage advantage of having a certificate makes the fee seem like a bargain.
The value of the magazine, itself, and of the certifications, should not be tied to the dissatisfaction of current or ex-ASQ members with the internal "politics" between the membership and the salaried top executives of ASQ.
Folks who have
mastered the Body of Knowledge for a certification, regardless whether they have paid to actually obtain the certificate, may be able to convince current or prospective employers of their value to the organization - it's just less hassle for most folks to produce the third party certificate to attest to their prowess - much as organizations provide third party ISO certifications rather than undergo individual audits by each prospective customer.
Folks who haven't visited the ASQ website for a while will note it has been updated and revamped.
