Pancho

one of many "galerías de arte"

What is that little set of wooden doors on the wall just to the left of the head of the girl with the red blouse? Any idea how old that building is?

Sorry, I don't know what those little doors are. Perhaps utility gauges? The town has carefully hidden any trace of cables or plumbing, and many of the streets are cobbled.

Don't know how old this building is either, but Santiago was founded in the 17th century. This building, right across from the plaza, could easily be a couple of centuries old.

Great pictures, Pancho! I enjoyed a little mini vacation in Santiago on this cold wet day in NC.

Thanks, SteelMaiden! I love Santiago. Colonial, great food, and did I mention it is the base for the Matacanes adventure?
