HI all,

Just wanted to share my joy, anticipation and nail biting nerves with you all, looking forward to the biggest night in club football, the European Champions League Final.

My team Liverpool take on AC Milan (again), in a rematch of 2005's final, which was undoubtedly the greatest European game of all time (if not the greatest football game of all time).

For those not familiar, the European Champions League is the biggest prize in club football, and we are attempting to win it for the 6th time. It is a massive night for me and all other fellow supporters and I am sure the majority of the UK will be willing us to win (well maybe not Chelsea, Man U or Everton supporters, but the rest!)

If we win it will make my year..... I know there are other Liverpool supporters on the Cove, so show your support and even if you nothing about football, get your comments in here!

This is one of my true passions, it is something that turns my stomach in knots and creates unbelievable joy when things go right. Watching the 2005 final still sends shivers down my spine, and will do forever.

COME ON YOU MIGHTY REDS! Kings of European Football, lets make it happen again. :cfingers:

Manix,

Looking forward to the game too, but unfortunately I will be cheering for Milan since they have 4 Brazilian players on their team !

Should be a great game to watch anyway...shame it´s going to be at 15:45 local time here in Brazil and I´ll be at work !!

Oh dear! We do have a Brazilian player, Fabio Aurelio, but he is injured (Achillies went in an earlier round of this competition OUCH!). Shame as he is a great player.

Oh well here's hoping we can keep Kaka quite, as I think is is by far their best player.

You´re right... I had lost track for Fabio Aurelio... did not know he was with Liverpool now... Yes, Kaka is an overall excellent player, complete in my opinion.... no one matches him when he starts with the ball mid field heading towards the opponents goal.

Good luck Liverpool and AC Milan, will be the game of the Year !! Will try and catch the highlights or even sneak some previews of the game on the NET without the boss seeing !! :notme:

Go Liverpool!

I'll cheer mostly for Liverpool because of Dirk Kuyt, the striker who so sadly was sold from my club Feyenoord to Liverpool last year. I'm afraid Milan will not let themselves be fooled for a second time, but I'll most definitely be cheering for Liverpool tonight!

I say 1-1 after extra time and a Liverpool win on penalties .... Nah, stand corrected, 2-1 win for Liverpool, Dirk Kuyt scores in extra time! Woohoo Liverpool!:biglaugh:

:applause: Thanks for the support, I know Milan will be tough, but we know how to win big games, especially if it goes to Penalties! Which I hope it does not, as I hate penalties!

Thanks for Dirk Kuyt, he has been our player of the season! :agree1:

Thanks for the 16 million euro's :(

We've ended 9th this season in the competition, we used to be a "top three team"... We sold our other striker Salamon Kalou to Chelsea after last season as well.... Lesson learned is that you can't buy back goals with money... Kuyt promised he'll be back though :agree1:

Good l.... Good lu.... Nope, its no good, as a Man Utd fan I just cannot say those words. But then you wouldn't expect me to would you?

I hope Milan win easily but I am afraid that Liverpool will win, especially if it goes to penalties. Problem is, it often goes to penalties for Liverpool and not the other team:lmao:
