Nope, ain't got nothing to do with the US standard because nobody uses it or even cares about it

It actually seems that ISO has trouble to communicate on the vote rejecting the second draft of the ISO 45001 standard
Actually, they have been transparent; see attached presentation available from the ISO/PC 283 working area.

Interesting comment in one of the slides:
Draft New Work Item Proposal (NWIP) on psychosocial risk was presented and a webinar will be held shortly
:mg:

Ok Randy, Americans prefer the OHSMS British standard rather the American one.
Thanks Sidney, I'll read this document (I did not find this kind of document on ISO internet despite my research).

Hello !

Using an OHSMS british standard (and waiting ISO 45001 now ?), why US did create its own (ILO-OSH based) ANSI Z10 standard without using it...?

Bye.

Numerous reasons, but my best guess is $$$$$$$ and trying to cash in on what others were getting with 18001.

Z10 like the Canadian Z1000 were never really promoted or recognized even within the national borders. Total wasted effort by the parties involved except for the supportive annex material in the back which was pretty good.

in a nutshell, to show "those Europeans" that we can develop standards too. :notme:

Unfortunately, for the Z10 crowd, very few stakeholders care about that standard.

After ISO 26000, 37001, ISO is now developing a corporate governance standard. No aspect of corporate business to be left untouched. Obviously all of the standards have been through the justification proposal.

Its not rocket science to line up all of the ISOs I dont get these "People" holding up the new standard. Hopefully once the UK is out of Europe we can get back to doing what we do best - World Class and not have to follow Brussels.. the Europeans dont.. there not interested in safety.. the Brits are..

But "these Europeans" haven't any OSHMS standard... only the british people..
How can you say that? I've already listed to you all the organizations that co-wrote the OHSAS 18001 standard and many of them are from Europe.
So, the OHSAS 18001 standard is a truly international standard, with more than 100,000 organizations certified to it. So much revenue stream that ISO decided to get in the game...

Au revoir...
