I used GageTrak for 6 years, Switched Companies who used a excel to keep track, I got the trail of GageTrak which was a much newer version than what i was used to and it was SO slow compared to the old. So decided to switch to GageList, Love the mobile feature. Only been using it for about 2 months now. Does TrackPro have a mobile app or any plans to add one in the future?

Below is the response that I got from Baron Software (TrackPro) in regards to the mobile app:

At the moment it is on the business roadmap for the future.

What has to happen first is moving TrackPro to a SQL server which is a high end database solution.

Thank you Kendall for inserting the update to the public on TrackPro.

Baron Software has taken over the software development for TrackPro and will continue to provide the software enhancements as well as future growth.

On our product road map which will be available at the end of August here are some of the features that Baron Software are planning to implement:

1. Interface the application to a SQL database server allowing for the most robust data processing for high tier companies. The current database will remain for the smaller shops and still be used for the free version provided worldwide.
2. All components of TrackPro are being upgraded to provide the utmost performance enhancements and will be released soon.
3. Support is always free from Baron Software as well as maintaining Al's method of providing a free version to anyone who wishes to use TrackPro.
4. The SQL Server will allow for smart device interfacing and the security is based with your IT department. The plan is to allow interfacing TrackPro with an IPad or Surface.
5. Exporting and Importing from either version of TrackPro from CSV files to the database.
6. Document Management allowing the user to implement TrackPro to interface into a Word Document and completing the transaction of data into the document.
7. Reviewing the email portion of the application.

That is some of the things on the planning that are being discussed and look at.

I am also currently looking for a free solution to organize my equipment and devices. This was previously done in Word (sick!) and I would like to move it to something more accessible. I found a software called Kalibro V2.7.0 which oragnizes this topic quite accessibly, but it has no import/export function to Excel/SQL and lacks email notifications. What solution do you recommend? Maybe move everything to Access ( can I find a template somewhere)?

GageList has a free version but it is now only good for 25 gages (Previously was 100). I still use the free version as I am grandfathered in at 100 gage.

Depending on your company needs, It is $200/year for 200 gages, It's about $1 per gage until 1000 gages where the price comes down. They have a mobile app which is nice but I cannot use, Due to being a free member.

Access or Excel is another common free one people use. If I were to go back to either, I would use Google Sheets instead. Google Sheets makes it easier to use it on a mobile device and multiple people can edit, Even at the same time.

Other than those 2, The only other one I've used was GageTrak for about 6-7 years. I liked the older versions but stopped using it due to cost and the updates seemed to just slow the program down more and more with every update.
