Perusing the list of "standards" available in the IAF Certsearch database, we see a number of fictional documents such as, ISO 9001:2018, ISO 13485:2011, as well as editions of standards that have become obsolete, for accredited certification purposes, such as ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004.

And, then, they want people to trust the data? :poop:

Interesting. Compared to numbers posted in this thread on November 15, 2019, ABs have increased from 68 to 69, CBs have increased from 805 to 1059, and certifications have decreased from 383 868 to 359 147. There seemed to be a noticeable amount of bad data previously (such as an ISO 9001:2008 certificate being shown as valid alongside an ISO 9001:2015 certificate for the same company), so the drop in certifications may be due to cleaning up some of this bad data. Decreasing the number of certifications by over 6% while increasing the number of certification bodies by over 30% may also be an indicator that companies are dropping certifications.

The result of Ineptitude + incompetence + lack of Vision + decades of commoditization of management system certification + greed + ignorance + stupidity.

But we should be hopeful. The ISO 9001 Brand Integrity Group will restore confidence in the whole process :sarcasm:

Via the LinkedIn post available @ IAF CertSearch on LinkedIn: More Must Be Done to Promote IAF CertSearch we are redirected to a Quality Digest article available @ More Must Be Done to Promote IAF CertSearch where it becomes evident that some "pressure" is being applied on to CB's to activate their accounts. The inept people behind this effort create a "voluntary" database and, when a very high percentage of participant CB's decide NOT to be part of it, they want to force them via questionable means.

I have said so many times: Any certificate database that is not made mandatory and highly policed for accuracy and timeliness of data entry is destined to fail. The IAQG OASIS database is the example of something done right and should have been used as the model to be followed by the IAF.
