What specific Quality "Must have's" would you like included in a Request For Quotation?

Morning all,

Our team has the opportunity to influence the wording in the next release of the RFQ in terms of quality requirements. Apart from baseline IATF 16949, PPAP etc. what else would you think is needed in there for an automotive company?

Beyond the obvious (what you need from their products and service) you might consider including language that asserts your right to audit them, and whether or not advance notice is required. Depending on how and where the items get shipped, you might also specify minimum packaging requirements or cite a specification that covers the subject. Be ready to make an understanding of who is to be the carrier, and if so if there is a particular carrier you do not want them to use.

Also, one might choose to include more details in a CSR (Customer Specific Requirements), Additional Quality Requirements (specific to part/assembly of part family, Safe Launch/Risk Mitigation measures over and above what IATF 16949 requires...
