proposed vs. adopted standard

I realize I am late to the impementation activities for ISO 9001 and TS-16949: 2000 versions, but none of my employer administrators seem concerned. Regardless, all I possess now is the Second Committee Draft of the ISO 9000:2000 standards, as issued from ASQ in Febreuary 1999.

With this second draft, was everything apppproved and adopted for the new standard, or do I have to pay the $50 to get 9001 from ASQ?

Please help! I can present the case with the ISO CD2 9000:2000 document as long as I know it's identical to the 2000 standard.

Thanks,
Rick Tompkins

I would say your best bet is to spend the 50 bucks, it has been a while so I am not sure if the copy you have has all the changes.

The second draft was not the same as the final. Spend the money, it's worth the time that you will put into making revisions later.
