After playing the Patriots so closely the young upstart Chiefs built momentum to dominate their division this year.....:biglaugh::bonk::sarcasm:

The report from the sports talk around Kansas City is that they are $31 million under the cap. They are claiming that the Chiefs are doing this to help pay for the stadium renovations that they are obligated for. They are going to pay $125 million over 2-3 years for renovations and by cutting on payroll they cover they renovationout of pocket money.

They turned the team into rebuilding and use that excuse why they are doing poorly yet not paying as much in salary. When renovations are done, they will have developed a group of youngsters and then hit the free agent market to fill holes with high dollar free agents and field a playoff team when stadium is renovated.

This is the claim of at least one sports station here.

Although, Turner the Burner looked good. He did the samething he had done in the last 2 preseason games. That's a hard runner. Ernie Sims doesn't get carried down the field by a running back, but I saw him get carried twice!!!!

Is that the running back that went 220 yards in 22 carries? He was a back-up to L.T. at San Diego. He looked very good.

He looked a LOT thicker than he did when he was with San Diego....did he need oxygen after every carry?:lmao:

He was always impressive when he was at San diego he was just unfortunate to play behind LT.

Hopefully he will play a big part in the Falcon's comeback. Its a win-win situation; he fianlly gets to play, and the Falcons get to play him. If I lived an hour or 2 closer I'd be looking for tickets.

I don't know how far you are from their stadium but the Chiefs have season ticket holders that drive 5-6 hours every home game.....When the game was sold out there were some who brought a whole living room: couches, loveseat, recliner, rug, end tables, coffee table, lamps, tv all hooked up to a generator and set up in the parking lot.

I'm sorry but watching from the comfort of MY living room and not paying $25 parking fee, $5 cokes, $8 beers, $4 hot dogs, is WHOLE lot better and the view is better too.....:cool:

Depending on Atlanta traffic and construction :mad: (the reason I will not accept a job in ATL) it is about 2 1/2 hours one way. Like you say, I can sit at home in my easy chair. That way I will not get ripped off, and we can eat a nice steak, drink some 10 year old bourbon, and relax, for a LOT less than going to the game. If the game is boring, I can go outside and go fishing.

That is funny since you know that Lions only win in the pre-season. So sad to live in Michigan sometimes.
