Dean,

Did you make a request on the daughter's wedding day? :lmao:

I say Seattle will make a run for the Super Bowl this year...Holmgren will treat training camp different and loosen up which will let the guys loosen up...It almost always happens that way....

I just think that it is time for the NFC to dominate for a few years now...

Whomever has the best defensive line will be the one to take it all....:2cents:

Giants will make another run...They are going to be tough 2008-09 season.
Watch out for Chargers though. They did not have LT. If he were 100% in previous season, I am pretty sure they could have beaten Patriots.

Ahhh football.... What a great sport....

I am a lowly Lions fan and when I say fan I mean it. I live in Wisconsin and work in Chicago. I take a lot of heat, but hey I am still a fan.

I tell everyone it is easy to be a lions fan. You always assume they will lose, that way if they win you can celebrate. When people try to give you grief you simply smile and say, "ok I expected them to lose". On the flip side when they win you can say, "you lost to the LIONS, come on how bad is your team this year".

It is great fun.....:lmao:

Iam/was a Chiefs fan..

I gave up because getting to the dance was not enough during the 90's and losing in the new milennia just doesn't cut it.:(

It'd be one thing if they were lovable losers but not even that.

As for the Lions....when they made Matt Millen GM....:mg: He was terrible as an announcer and that has translated into what 3 No.1 picks on wideouts?:frust: puhleeze....

Re: 2008-09 NFL season

:sarcasm: I would rather be best at something than nothing. No one can ever take away the fact that the Lions made the worst mistake ever in hiring Millen :bonk:and then topping it by signing him to an extension :frust:.

If you put on top of that their previous bad management took the best running back every (Barry Sanders) away from the game because they did not want to commit to winning and I have sealed their fate as the worst.

So there.... The Lions are the BEST IDIOTS in the game..... :tg:

Re: 2008-09 NFL season

When they were running the run and shoot offense with Barry in the back field they were great to watch and could take anyone on any given day.

I used to like the Lions then and way back in the 70's.

I like Kitna making a statement about 10 games. No, it wasn't a prediction, it was a statement...

Maybe we could trade Peterson for Millen. Ego for Inept:lmao:

Re: 2008-09 NFL season

No matter what Kitna says good or bad he is trying to be the leader on the team and that is what you want from your quarterback.

If he was a shrinking violet and said nothing then I would be concerned.

The run and shoot days were great... That is probably why I am a Detroit fan... :bonk:(hit myself in the head for all the comments to come).

When I got to the age of liking sports I lived in Lansing Michigan. Barry was great, the Pistons were good, and Red Wings were good. The Tigers sucked but 3 out of 4 is not bad.

That Detroit thing has stayed with me no matter where I have lived.

I honestly think that if Detroit would have had one or two more good players during the run and shoot era they could have done something. Plus no matter what anyone tells me firing Wayne Fontes was another very poor choice by the Lions.
