Impact on Society

I am currently trying to write the new procedures for TS-016: "Impact on Society", Sections 4.1.7.1 and 4.1.7.2 and wondering if anybody has a sample procedure.

Konrad,

4.1.7.1:

1: Define how you minimize potential risks to internal and external customers. (Product Realization?, FMEA? Control Plans, Job Insructions? etc...)

2: Define how potential product safety concerns are promoted to the company. (Training? Instructions? Visual Aids? etc...)

Document the process through either procedure or referenced instructions.

4.1.7.2

1: Define how applicable govenrmental regulations are determined.

2: Define how these regulations are documented and relayed to the organization.

3: Define how applicable regulations interface with the document control, revision levels, and retention times.

Do you need a procedure? No
Do you need a process? Yes

Most companies I work with include this section as part of contract review and product realization processes. A search of the FTP section on this sight should give you additional ideas.

Also, don't limit yourself from looking at this topic from a non-automotive aspect. There are many other industries that also have safety and environmental requirements.

Good Luck! Any other comments from members!

I have found it better to write my own procedures and processes than to copy it. That way I learn it.

Konrad,

Keep it simple and include them as part of Contract Review and/or Product Realization. These topics could easily be documented by some sort of chechsheet and possibly have supporting work instructions.

4.1.7 is Gone from the Aligned Draft

This no longer exists in the 'aligned' version. Has anyone noticed where they stuck it?
