I am modifying our ERP to contain two new fields as shown below in order to meet 8.4.1.1 of AS9100.
Requirement: "The organization shall maintain a register of its external providers that includes approval status (e.g., approved, conditional,
disapproved) and the scope of the approval (e.g., product type, process family);"
My question is: Most of our suppliers are on our main customer's approved supplier list. For Approved Services (e.g., scope of approval) can it just say "See customer's approved supplier list"? Or do we need to independently define the scope of approval for each supplier? Some suppliers are approved for many processes/products by our customer.
