hello friends.

I have a doubt about this requirement:

"Unless otherwise specified by the customer, the following sequence should be applied to achieve this requirement:
.
.
d) certification to ISO9001 with compliance to IATF 16949 through second-party audits;"

That means that i should perform a system audit to the supplier, correct?

furthermore, the clause 8.4.2.4.1 says:

"The organization shall include a second-party audit process in their supplier management approach. Second-party audits may be used for the following:
.
.
c) supplier QMS development;
d) product audits;
e) process audits.

In the end, from what i understood, in base on my risk analisys, i can perform to the supplier a system audit, process audits and product audits

Well, I think it is pretty clear. 8.4.2.4.1 requires (shall include) a second party audit process with regard to supplier management. You can (may) use such audits for any of the subjects in the list a-e. So you can do what your supplier will allow.
