We have a lot of complaints as to the price of standards and requests to copy them.
As professionals the standards are our tools and it is beholden to us to play fair.
This does not mean that you need to throw money away.
The standards are offered as e documents with various restrictions as to ability to print, watermarks etc. I found that for ISO 9000:2000 series when I purchased the Australian and New Zealand Standards board where the cheapest.
These 2 countries have split their standards bodies and now operate separately.
After some research I have found there is a wide range of prices for downloaded copies of ISO 9001:2008
ISO (Switzerland) $105.77
SAI (Australia) $110.16
ASQ $95.00 Member $76.00
ANSI $116.00
BSI (UK) $118.02
NZ (New Zealand) $96.03
Singapore $23.53
Ireland $89.73
Standards on line (Commercial) $159.00

I have not researched the various conditions but ASQ says "Note: You cannot print or share electronic standards."
I bought the Singapore standard that allows one printing and contains my name.
The standard is exactly the same but by making it national you can charge what you want
