if i were the one, i will listen and brainstorm then. it happened to me as i used to fight with my quality dept (before LEAN) on petty issues. now i am laughing at my behavior then!

What a great thread with LOTS of lessons. I have to add my worth:

Some words of wisdom that have paid dividends to me over the years. Of course, there's exceptions to every rule and one always has to assess each situation differently.

1. You can not mentor your boss
2. You have to please your boss's boss.

Keep those things in mind when you have a gripe about management and proceed with caution as you move forward to "correct" the problem. :truce:

I don't know. Probably the boss would become suspicious, and then I would leave, it would make no difference. (Your advice about how to handle interview in another thread really helps )

If the boss did take my suggestion, in retrospection, it is nearly impossible, I probably still be there.

Hi,

I think suggetion is good and betterment of the company. You are looking for good about your company.

At the same time, I would like to draw attention that persone who are working at 2nd or 3rd level do not the policy of the top managment [I mean Chairman / President / owner]. If they are not trasperant, 1st level start to work in the same manner.

Second thing is that - Why you would like to take others opnion. Bcz, Wise talk can be talk among the wise people.

Truth is bitter, but there is a many way to tell it. You may fist suggest about suggetion box system. During the discussion you will have to analyse the situation. If you feel that it is easily accepted in positive manner then you may go ahead with out giving your boss name / his position. You will have a opportunity to suggest about Goal, Vision ,etc.
